Quick version: We set two cookies of our own (one for your consent choices, one for keeping you logged in). When you grant marketing or analytics consent, additional cookies from named third parties may load. You control all of this from the consent banner. Open it any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser. Cookies let sites remember things between page loads, like the fact that you're logged in, or that you accepted the privacy banner. Some cookies are essential to make the site work; others are optional and let third parties (like analytics or advertising vendors) recognize you across visits.
We use cookies sparingly and disclose every one of them below by name, purpose, duration, and category. The categories match the toggles on our consent banner: Strictly necessary, Analytics, and Marketing & visitor identification.
2. Cookies we set (first-party)

Strictly-necessary cookies are not gateable. They are required for the site to function and are excluded from consent under PIPEDA, GDPR, and Quebec Law 25.

We list these third-party tools by name in our consent banner so you know exactly what you're opting into. None of them load until you grant marketing consent. If you later withdraw consent, we stop loading the pixels and instruct each provider to remove your historical record where their API supports that operation.
4. How to control cookies
4.1 Through our consent banner
The easiest way: click Cookie settings in the footer at the bottom of any page on launchx.ca. The consent banner re-opens with your current choices, and you can change them at any time. Changes take effect immediately; withdrawn categories stop firing on the next page load.
4.2 Through your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser's settings. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the site. For example, you won't stay signed in to the portal. Most browsers also support “Do Not Track” (DNT) and “Global Privacy Control” (GPC) signals; we treat both as a request to reject all non-essential cookies until you explicitly grant consent.
5. Changes to this policy
When we add a new third-party tool or change a cookie's purpose, we update this page and bump the consent banner version so you see the banner again and can review what's new. We do not silently change cookie categories.
